Several users told me that whenever "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" is pressed, they are getting

the message "Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator".

So obviously they cannot easily remove the MUHAHAHA Virus without opening the Task Manager.

Disabling Task Manager on a single machine is generally done by some virus or a Malicious script.

So we must first make the Task Manager functional.

Do as follows to get the task manager back to life:

            • Click Start and then click Run

            • Type gpedit.msc and click OK.

Now the Group Policy window opens.   ( Remember, for Windows (Home) Edition,  there is no Group Policy Editor)

If the Group Policy window (or gpedit.msc) is disabled, or if you have you Windows (Home) Edition you have to directly go to Registry Editor to enable Task Manager.

Do as follows:

                • Click Start and then click Run

                • Type regedit  and click OK.

Your registry opens

Then do as follows

Keep Double clicking on

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

You will find the key as follows on the right pane of the window:

DisableTaskMgr        REG_DWORD             0x00000000 (1)

Double click on the above key. Another window opens which reads:

Value data:  1

Here, change 1 to 0  and press OK.

Press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete"  and your Task Manager should open.
