Meditate till you see only Energy, God in the form of Energy, nothing else.

Mind, Thoughs & Action

Submitted by jay on Mon, 13/12/2010 - 05:32.

We normally think that Mind and Thoughts are preventing us from reaching God.
Now change style and view Mind and Thoughts as also under control of God; like Actions and their Results.

Like you give away the Actions and their results to God,
Give away your Mind and Thoughts to God. Here the result is obvious ...they can't disturb you.

Here is a Logical caution: Once you give away something to somebody, you have no right over it.
Similarly, once you give away your Mind and Thoughts to the Lord, don't grab them back under silly pretexts !!

Sleep and Health

Submitted by jay on Thu, 25/11/2010 - 06:41.

Morning and Afternoon, control sleep, if necessary by force, by washing face, standing etc. Its preferable not to sit-down or lie down when sleep tries to overwhelm you.

In the Night, don't avoid or stop sleep by indulging in Intellectual or non-Intellectual activity. Better to lie down and listen or talk and fall asleep naturally.

Reading serious books till you get sleep is bad but if you are habituated, its better than other intellectual activities like TV, Computer, fiddling with Cell phone etc, which should be totally avoided.

Anxiety

Submitted by jay on Sat, 06/11/2010 - 07:39.

Anxiety syndrome is a state of continued attention to something over which you have no control.
--Jayachandra

Comment:
It is caused mostly due to
.. Delayed action on important issues
.. Typical mentality to respond "Instantaneously" to everything
.. Commission or Omission
.. Fear that something would befall in future
.. Feeling of injustice or insult
.. Wild imagination about Revenge, Repartee, Teaching a lesson to somebody
.. Fear of losing something that you possess
.. Disappointment or Frustration when somebody disagrees with you.

What attracts others

Submitted by jay on Sat, 30/10/2010 - 09:35.

Its not your Anxiety but Peace, Not your Irritation but Patience
Not your Hasty utterances but Sympathetic Listening, Not your Grief but Smile
Not your Money but Spending for Others, Not your Problems but your Helping nature
Not your Cunningness but Candidness, Not your Lies but your Truthfulness

That attracts others to you

Mind, the Monkey

Submitted by jay on Wed, 27/10/2010 - 05:32.

Mind is the root of all evils. It jumps like a monkey from one thought to the other, most of which thoughts being worldly. Give away the uncontrollable monkey to God. You will get peace
Adi Shankara

Comment: When the monkey jumps too fast, it falls and injures itself. So also, if the mind jumps too fast from one thought to the other, the body loses it's health... And contacts BP, Diabetes etc.

So don't allow the mind to jump like a monkey. Easiest is to allow it to settle down on one pleasant thought, preferably, God. That is Tapasya.

Religion

Submitted by jay on Sat, 20/02/2010 - 22:23.

“ Religion is based, I think, primarily and mainly upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown and partly, as I have said, the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes....A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men.

Impossible is just a Big word thrown around by Small men who find it
easier to Live in the world they have been given; than to Explore the Power they have to Change it.

Impossible is not a fact. It is an opinion.
Impossible is NOT a Declaration. It is a Dare.
impossible is Potential. Impossible is Temporary.
